Like every year, this autumn was also reserved for the Tokyo Motor Show. Here we can always see plenty of amazing premieres. One of the best Japanese carmakers, Mazda, presented 2019 Mazda 3 and 2020 Mazda 6 Concept Versions. These premieres were definitely some of the most important things at the show.
The renowned carmaker plans to introduce several new models in next few years. These two are, naturally, among best-selling models of the brand. Famous compact and mid-size models of this company are considered to be one of the leaders in the class when it comes to quality. So, there are some big expectations from the new generations. Especially if we consider that many of us hope that Mazda is finally going to take the place that deserves and belongs, among premium carmakers.
2019 Mazda 3 Concept details
We didn’t hear anything specified about the next generation of the famous compact car. However, everyone is sure that the new Kai Concept is actually a 2019 Mazda 3 Concept. There are so many reasons to believe it that. First of all, the new concept is compact in size. This unambiguously leads us to the famous compact hatchback. The new concept showed us plenty of novelties and most of them should find the place in the new 2019 Mazda 3. The current version of the famous hatchback is present since 2013. So, we can expect a new model already in a year or two. For this occasion, the company is developing a completely new platform, as well as a completely new amazing styling.
2019 Mazda 3 Concept new technologies
The new model will continue with the evolution of the famous KODO design language, improving it to the highest possible level. We can just hope that the new model will resemble the Kai Concept as close as possible. Besides these absolutely amazing lines, the company will introduce several completely new design solutions.
First of all, the company develops a completely new engine, not an ordinary one at all. It will be the first compression ignition engine in one production car and it is about to bring many benefits. The new engine comes with a familiar 2.0-liter displacement. However, it features complex design solutions which will improve performances and economy. According to some reports, the new engine will be good for about 190 horsepower, which is more than the current 2.5-liter unit but also features a 30% better economy. The new technology will be implemented in other upcoming engines as well.
2020 Mazda 6 Concept
Another legendary model from this manufacturer had a preview at the Tokyo Show. The company presents a new Vision Concept, which was definitely one of the key events at the whole show. The new concept is absolutely amazing and we can say with easy that it is one of the prettiest concepts that we have seen in past few years. This concept definitely looks like a premium car. Moreover, it combines lines in such a beautiful way that we can say this car took the best from exotic models such as Maserati GranTurismo or Jaguar XF. However, it isn’t just a simple mix of several premium cars. Unlike many Japanese luxury cars, this one definitely has its own personality and individuality. So, we can just hope that the new generation of the famous sedan will resemble the new concept as close as possible.
2019 Mazda 3 and 2020 Mazda 6 Concept Versions production
At the moment, it is still hard to make some more precise predictions about the launch of new generation of these two famous models. For now, we know for sure that the Mazda 3 will come first, most likely as a 2019-year model. The company will introduce plenty of new technologies and design solutions with this compact car, so we have no doubt that it will be a worthy successor of the current-generation model. When it comes to the new generation of Mazda 6, we expect it somewhere in 2019, or early 2020.
