The popular Japanese manufacturer will spruce up its lineup with the 2019 Toyota Sequoia. The Sequoia is one of the older models that have received a revamp after a long time. However, the Toyota wants to make it even more polished to take on SUV rivals like Ford Explorer. For 2018, the Toyota added a new trim and enhanced safety feature. This time, it may receive minor to moderate styling changes.
2019 Toyota Sequoia – Design Changes and Colors
The Toyota Sequoia lagged in design front compared to the segment rivals and it was given styling revamp two years back. So, the 2019 model may get slightly more rugged styling. Its truck origins ensure boxy build but it gets new grille design and headlamps. There will be 4 trims- SR5, Limited, Platinum along with TRD Sport which is newest.
It will come in exterior colors like crimson mica, toasted walnut pearl, midnight black metallic, silver sky metallic and blizzard pearl etc. The trims will be laden with LED headlights. Based on trim, you get alloy wheels ranging from 18 to 20 inches.
The TRD Sport is the most stylish trim of Sequoia 2019, beyond doubt. The black 20-inch aluminum wheels and different bumper makes it stand out among the other trims. It gets blacked-out visual styling comprising of black mirror caps, smoked taillight, and accents.
Each of this four trim levels is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive as an option.
Inside the SUV
The cabin of upcoming 2019 Toyota Sequoia is stylish but it is not on par with segment rivals in terms of utility. Only the TRD Sport gets touches of luxury. You get plenty of places to keep small items and gadgets during trips, including bottles and cups. Default cargo space is also decent. Base trim still has enough hard and cheap looking plastic in the cabin and things do improve as you move up. The TRD Sport gets unique floor mats and enhanced upholstery.
