0

The 2020 Toyota Avalon will represent the second year model of the recently redesigned sedan, so no one would expect bigger changes for this occasion. The famous full-size sedan came completely redesigned this year and it brings a lot of novelties. There is a completely new styling, as well as interior design. It is important to mention that the new model rides on the company’s new TNGA platform, which significantly improves driving dynamics. The list of standard features seems amazing, while a couple of powertrain options gives you a choice between standard gasoline V6 and a hybrid version. Considering that no changes are expected for the 2020 Avalon, it should come in late 2019.

When it comes to base design characteristics, this sedan should avoid any bigger change in the next several years. This sedan has been redesigned recently and we expect 2020 Toyota Avalon to be pretty much identical in all aspects. It will ride on the company’s new platform, which significantly makes driving dynamics better and that definitely one of the biggest improvements compared to the previous generation. Also, there is a completely new styling. You can easily notice application of the brand’s newest design language, characterized by much sharper lines compared to its predecessor. For the next year, we probably won’t see changes, though few tweaks are possible. We could see things like new exterior colors, or some new wheel design.

Interior is definitely the strongest point of this model. This is a full-size sedan, so it’s no wonder that you can count on so much legroom and overall cabin space. The 2020 Toyota Avalon will continue to be one of the most spacious sedans in the class. It offers more legroom compared models like Nissan Maxima and Kia Cadenza. You can count on more cargo space as well. Besides more space, it comes with the cabin that is fully equipped. In terms of tech features, you can count on things like Bluetooth, five USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an eight-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and the Entune infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration etc. Some of the optional features are a 14-speaker audio system, navigation, wireless charging etc.

The 2020 Toyota Avalon will also come with a full load of safety features. Some of the highlights are a rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking etc. Optional features are a head-up display, a surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic braking.

The 2020 Toyota Avalon will continue with the same two powertrain variants. Base models will come with a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is good for about 300 horsepower. Such amount of power is definitely more than enough for a confident highway ride. Fuel economy is also on a high level and goes around 22 mpg in city and 31 on a highway, which is better than most competitors in the class.

You can also go for a hybrid powertrain. It is pretty much the same system that you can find in new Camry. This is definitely a perfect choice if you don’t need some super special performances. This version returns an amazing 43 mpg in a combined drive, which sounds unbelievable for a full-size sedan, especially if we consider that this version costs about a thousand dollars more compared to the gasoline model.
